Here are a couple of modern Land Rover Dormobile conversions using parts from Dormobile Ltd:

This is a 1993 US spec Defender 110 that was completely rebuilt by East Coast Rovers to the owner's specification.

This conversion features a 300 tdi engine, Dormobile Ltd lifting roof with top bunks and a complete camper interior.  Also of interesting note is that it is a 4 door with 1 door on the left side, 2 doors on the right side and one door at the rear.

Pictures of the complete rebuild can be seen on the ECR web site.

The number 19 on the front doors is the vehicle's Border to Border expedition number.  Prior to the owner taking his D110 to ECR to be converted  this vehicle and my "The Green Rover" (Border to Border number 23) convoyed together between the Canadian and Mexican borders.

This next Dormobile is owned by Bob Sharp of Arizona and features a Lifting roof from Dormobile Ltd and top bunks.

Bob added Defender style windows to blank 109 regular roof sides.   Note that the left is mounted at the rear and the right side at the front.  Dormobile Ltd. lifting tops come standard with white cloth.
