In fact, due to their inherent thirst for petrol and high initial purchase price, Land-Rover Dormobiles were destined to remain rare.   Martin walter Dormobile conversions were added to several brands and models of vehicles, the most common of which were Bedford trucks (the truck division of Vauxhall Motors).
