In the four corners area September 2008. These pictures are from a 27 day trip of which I was accompanied by Linus Tremaine & Nikkie for 2 weeks.
I wrote a journal for this trip but there are a lot of pictures that didn't fit into the journal, several of which are being posted here.

Land Rover Dormobile in Eacalante
The Green Rover in the Cockscomb area of the Grand Staircase Escalate National Monument.  This road goes from Koda Chrome basin South to near Page following a thrust zone that pushed rocks up to an angle of 60 or 70 degrees making for a very dramatic landscape and a great shortcut between Bryce and page.  Photo by Linus Tremaine

One of Monument Valley's famous mittens.  Picture taken by Linus Tremaine right after we pulled into the visitor parking lot late in the afternoon, Sept 2008.

Chaco petroglyph

These petroglyph pictures came from Chaco on the cliff between Pueblo Bonito and Pueblo Alto.

Below: Some rock wall formations also between the pueblos. I've always been fascinated by unusual rock shapes.

Butte in Arches 08
A butte in Arches National Park. I can't resist taking pictures of twisted bare tree branches. Especially if they have an interesting background.

Three Land Rover Dormobiles
Campground in Kane Creek Canyon, September 2008. Linus and my Land Rover Dormobiles plus a Toyota pop up camper in the next camp site.

Toyota pop up camper
Here's a close up of that Toyota SUV with pop up top.  It belongs to a Swiss couple who has been on the trail for two years.  They have been traveling North from South America and this is how far North that have made it  by September '08.  Yes it is a diesel model.
