Most of my digital snap shots were saved into a single folder
without any information or date.  Sorry for many I
have no idea of when or where.

1999 camped inside the South fork of Canyon de Chilly near the base of
Spider Rock. Canyon de Chilly is high in my list of 'must see' places.  By
all means take the roads along to top and look down at the canyon before
traveling inside it.  It helps give you a perspective.  There
is a free campground near the entrance of the canyon.  Travel within
the canyon requires a Navajo guide.  A single registered guide
can accompany as many as 5 vehicles and rides in the lead vehicle.  Best
to go during the dry season when the river is low.  I've personally
seen a 109 sink all but a corner of the hardtop under the river during
the rainy season.  Guide trips into the canyon are day trips.  You
can hire a guide spend he day in one branch of the canyon, spend the
night at the free campground then hire a guide to travel the second
branch of the canyon.  I was lucky enough to develop a relationship
with a guide who's  wife owned land near the base of spider rock
and whose family owned property near the Mummy caves on the other branch
so have camped at both places.  Canyon de Chilly works best as
a 3 day trip.  One day along the top of the canyon, maybe with
sunset pictures and a visit to the park office to learn the rules (You
will need to pick up your guide there).  It i a good idea to tip
your guide, money is scarce there.

Sorry I don't remember where in the four corners red rock
                  area this picture is from.

Morning in Kane Creek Canyon.  The sun is on the trees
but hasn't yet reached the wall yet.  Kane Creek is just
outside the town of Moab and offers free camping.  When
I'm in the area and don't need major repairs I'm camped
in this canyon more often than not.  When I need major
work there is a nice campground just south of town along the
highway with good showers and UPS delivers around 3PM.
