Land-Rover Explorer, a North American only
model base on the Series Land Rover 109 regular
Available through Land Rover dealers throughout the United States,
the Explorer was designed to meet a growing demand among sportsmen
and outdoor-loving families for a light-weight, comfortable unit
that could be transported on a 4-wheel drive Land-Rover into an
off-highway site and deposited, leaving the basic vehicle as unencumbered
transportation.
The camper was made by Travel Industries, Inc. of Oswego, Kansas. It
weighs 590 pounds, sleeps 4, has a galley and dinette.
